Affiliate Disclosure

This policy applies where a Cecilia Prize link, code or recommendation has a commercial referral connection. An affiliate arrangement can provide compensation when a reader takes a specified action, such as making a purchase. Not every external link is an affiliate link.

Disclosures belong beside the recommendation

Where a relevant commercial connection exists, the content must explain it clearly before or alongside the link. The explanation should tell readers that Cecilia Prize may receive compensation and identify the kind of action involved. Readers should not have to search this policy to discover the connection.

Disclosures also apply to relevant non-cash benefits or personal business connections that could affect how an endorsement is understood. A short label must not conceal a relationship that needs a fuller explanation.

Recommendations and comparisons

A commercial incentive does not justify invented experience, an unsupported safety claim or a favourable ranking presented as independent research. Articles must distinguish a provider’s claims from facts that have been checked. A product or service should not be described as personally tested unless that experience is real and documented.

Your decision and the provider’s terms

An affiliate link is not a guarantee about the provider or the people using its service. Confirm features, prices, renewal conditions and cancellation instructions with the provider. Do not assume that an affiliate link changes the price, produces a discount or offers extra protection unless that specific effect is explained.

You can choose not to use a commercial link. Following a recommendation does not obligate you to buy, register or continue communicating with anyone.

Privacy and questions

Any referral tracking is subject to the applicable privacy and cookie requirements. This disclosure does not grant permission for optional storage or sharing unrelated personal information.
